| Most of Altiris Deployment Solution' work is performed at the management console, a centralised, easy-to-use 32-bit Windows based application. Wizards simplify the most common tasks, and menus are available to speed you through the process, or you can simply drag and drop predefined tasks onto target PCs. |

| Tasks can be executed immediately or scheduled for later execution. A feature-rich database tracks events and ongoing status for all managed PCs. |

| Powerful client software runs on connected PCs, but most functions can be performed on disconnected or mobile PCs as well. Altiris Deployment Solution also supports Intel's Wired for Management™ and Pre-boot Execution Environment (PXE) for loading an operating system from a remote boot. And Altiris Deployment Solution includes the patented BootWorks (software for non-PXE PCs). PXE and BootWorks allow Altiris Deployment Solution to perform PC cloning and other low-level tasks without touching the target PCs. |
