What’s new in Vision 8.2

Netop released version 8.2 of Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro classroom management software on Oct 15, 2013. This release offers an array of valuable features and improvements, including:

Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro 7.5.1 released

Today Netop released an update to Netop Vision and Vision Pro classroom management software. Version 7.5.1 is a maintenance release that simplifies the installation process and includes issue resolutions.

Issues Resolved

The teacher module would open “Close” dialog box on startup
On a trial installation the “Close Vision” dialog box would sometimes appear when the user clicked OK in the “Welcome to Vision” dialog box. This has now been resolved.

Incomplete message when creating MSI
When using the “Create MSI” installation option the message displayed at the end of the process did not inform the user whether the MSI had been successfully created or not. This has now been resolved.

iPad support for Netop Vision

Today, Netop is happy to announce the release of Netop Vision Mobile, the app for teachers that puts the full power of your desktop computer onto your iPad. Now teachers can move freely around the classroom while accessing all of the educational resources on their PC from their iOS device.

Vision Mobile works standalone or may be combined with Vision classroom management software to extend the full functionality of Vision and Vision Pro to the iPad, enabling teachers to guide student learning from anywhere in the classroom.

Vision Mobile is a free add-on for Vision Pro customers with a current Netop Advantage agreement. It is not free for Vision customers, but can be purchased separately to extend Vision functionality to the iPad.

A new version of Netop ProtectOn Pro is now available for download. Version 2.1 of Netop ProtectOn Pro is a maintenance release that includes usability improvements to the administrator console, as well as some minor bug fixes.

What’s New in Version 2.1?

Usability Improvements:
When restarting a group of computers in the ProtectOn Pro Console a progress bar is displayed while agent computers are being restarted and a detailed log is displayed at the bottom with status information for each computer.

This new functionality allows network administrators to monitor overall progress, including seeing the computers that are being restarted as well and the ones that for some reason could not be restarted.This maintenance release also includes fixes to several minor issues.
